Congratulations to Brian for winning a $250 gas card! In April, we gave away gas cards with each purchase in celebration of Easter. Anyone who purchased a new or used vehicle got to crack an egg for each vehicle they purchased. Customers would pick an egg out of our Easter display as an "egg hunt" of sorts and Brian was the lucky duck who purchased two vehicles, cracked two eggs, and won our $250 gas card, plus another $20 gas card! Congratulations Brian!
This March and February we challenged our Facebook followers to help us get to 2,507 page likes by the end of March by liking our page, and liking and sharing our post for a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas! Well, we reached our goal and celebrated by giving away a trip to Las Vegas, as promised! Congratulations to Todd, our lucky winner! In March, we gave out boxes of Girl Scout Cookies with each test drive to support our local Girl Scout Troops! Tagalongs, Thin Mints, samoas, and more were given away as a tasty treat to take home and share with family and friends!
This March we celebrated Women's History Month at Harnish Auto Family. Women bring a different perspective and skillset and we wanted to really recognize the work that they do and their unique abilities that they bring to the dealership. Each day we highlighted our women in each department on our social media pages across all five of our dealerships and gave them the opportunity to share a little about themselves and what they love about working in the auto industry. We gave our ladies flowers, donuts and manicures over at a local nail salon to celebrate them on International Women's Day, March 8th. It is so important to share the value that women bring to the dealership and so we also put together a video highlighting our female employees from all five of our dealerships in all different kind of positions to demonstrate that there is always room for women and that the auto industry and Harnish Auto Family wouldn't be the same without them here. Thank you to all the ladies for the hard work that they do - we wouldn't be us without you!

The DRIVE & DINE EVENT idea was born in response to the devastating impact that COVID-19 had on our neighboring local businesses back in December of 2020. 50 gift cards [per store] were purchased from random at-risk restaurants and given to clients who took a test drive. The gift cards ran out fast. So fast, that on 1/6/2022, the 2nd Annual Drive & Dine Event was launched with the same intent. 600 $25 gift cards were purchased from 9 local restaurants in the Puyallup WA and Everett WA areas. The gift cards were distributed to customers who took test drives. No purchase necessary.
Every year as part of the Harnish Auto Family, VW of Puyallup participates in October's Breast Cancer Awareness month. As part of 2021's initiative, we donated on the customers behalf for every test drive presented a group check of $24,000 to Carol Milgard Breast Center.
The Beast Bug has been a part of VW of Puyallup's store culture for about 5 years, and we wanted to pass it along to one of YOU and support the Puyallup Food Bank at the same time.
We raised about $3,500 to benefit our local community in a time of need, and gifted a part of our culture to one lucky winner!

Every year as part of the Harnish Auto Family VW of Puyallup participates in October's Breast Cancer Awareness month. As part of 2019's initiative, we donated $25 for every car sold and presented a group check from the Puyallup Car Dealer's Association for $33,025!
Every month we make a donation to Metro Animal Services. They are an amazing organization that rescues, protects, and nurtures local animals so each animal can one day find their forever home.
Every December we put on our annual Jingle All the Way VW Run, which benefits the St. Francis House in Puyallup. This event calls upon the amazing Volkswagen community to come together, decorate their VW vehicles, and enjoy free food, fun, and even selfies with Santa! Our attendees filled an entire VW Bug with toys for local children in need, and we also made acash donation to St. Francis house to help them out during one of their busiest times of the year.
St. Francis House in Puyallup is another organization that we partner with to regularly support. They have multiple programs that help locals in our community, including a clothing bank that provides economically disadvantaged individuals and families with clothing and supplies. Last November we held a "Fill the Bug" event where the local VW community once again came together to donate over a hundred brand new blankets to St. Francis House that will help dozens of families stay warm in the winter months.
